In 1945 in kibbutz "Kfar Giladi" I was born.
Lucky I was to experience the childhood of Israel along with mine, what a pioneered spirit, what a dedication, the strength of togetherness. It was such a strong spirit that I felt it blowing even between treetops.
In 1966 l got married and moved to kibbutz "Eyelet Hashahar", where I gave birth to my children and where I'm playing now with my grandchildren.
For 20 years I enjoyed a recognition as an artist from the kibbutz establishment, And therefore had three days a week to pursue my art and paint.
"Do as u can - get as u need".
, was the promise that I grew up on,
and was now echoed in my head.
I was so thrilled.
And then on a sunny day of 1995, I was informed in a formal letter from the Kibbutz that as a result of the changes and privatization the kibbutz was going through; my days of art are cancelled immediately.
I was terribly upset...
I cried, l angered, I was insulted and no one could be of help. That
"the old way" was gone...
After two most difficult weeks, I decided to go into the studio, my steps led me, I arrived and entered. took the block of paper that was laying there; sat in the chair and stared at the fresh painting in front
Suddenly, a tremble went through my body, I heard the beating of my heart, and started writing.
I wrote, not knowing what I'm writing. It was like touching eternity.
Time was beating as strong as my heart. inside, outside, in, out.
Sixteen wise people of mankind's history dictated their words to me, Four artists,
Four prophets,
Four philosophers,
Four women.
I wrote, until the flow of writing stopped.
Before I read what I have written, I made up my mind- that the gift I now received I would paint as a series.
Today after 14 years, I feel a strong desire to pass on those words of incredible wisdom I got as a gift.
For every Adam and every Eve, For every boy and every girl, Wherever you are,
Where ever we are on this earth.
